Routes 316 – Temporary Detour on Sunday, July 12th

Due to several street closures and announced protest, County Connection will not operate service north of Highway 4 on Sunday, July 12th. Route 316 will operate regular service between Pleasant Hill BART and Pacheco Blvd. There will be no County Connection service from Muir Rd. to the Amtrak in Martinez. Buses will turn around at the Pacheco Park & Ride lot. Please plan your trip accordingly.

Routes 4 & 5 Temporarily Out of Service – Starting at 2pm

Due to several street closures and announced protests, County Connection service in and out of Walnut Creek will be interrupted today, June 19th, starting at 2pm. Routes 4 and 5 will not be operational and other routes with service to Walnut Creek BART may experience detours and reduced service, depending on protest route.

Due to several street closures and potential protests, County Connection service in and out of Walnut Creek will be interrupted starting at 4pm, today, June 17th. Routes 4 and 5 will not be operational and other routes with service to Walnut Creek BART will experience detours and reduced service.

A protest is scheduled in the City of Walnut Creek on Wednesday, June 17th. As a result, Route 21 will be detoured between Walnut Creek BART and Creekside Dr. Route 21 will not serve stops between Walnut Creek BART and Creekside Dr., starting at 4pm, in both directions, for the remainder of the day. Other last minute changes may be necessary as the day progresses.

Routes 9 & 98X Temporary Detour

A protest is underway in the City of Walnut Creek on Friday, June 5th. As a result, Routes 9 & 98X will not be able to access stops along N. Main St. to the Walnut Creek BART station. Both routes will turn around at the Pleasant Hill BART station. There will be no bus service along N. Main St. or the Walnut Creek BART station for these two routes. Please make your way to Pleasant Hill BART to access Routes 9 & 98X for the remainder of the day. Other last minute changes may be necessary as the day progresses.

Weekend Disruptions (6/6-6/7)

There are protests scheduled throughout our service area on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th. We anticipate there will be some service disruptions around Todos Santos Park in Concord and Lafayette Park Plaza. This will impact routes 6, 310, 311, 314, 315 and 320. County Connection will detour based on street closures in each jurisdiction. We expect to be able to access the BART stations, however, stops surrounding each BART station may not be accessible. If access to the BART stations is blocked, County Connection will stop at the next nearest bus stop. There may be other protests impacting service that we have not been made aware of. Please stay safe and check our website for additional updates.

We expect to resume regular service on Monday, June 8th.

Other last minute changes may be necessary as the day progresses.

Contra Costa County has rescinded its curfew order. County Connection will resume evening service past 9:30pm, starting today, Thursday, June 4th.

Route 10 Temporary Detour

A protest is scheduled between the cities of Concord and Clayton, along Clayton Rd. on Friday, June 5th. As a result, Route 10 will be detoured along Ayers Rd./Concord Blvd./Kirker Pass Rd. All stops between Ygnacio Valley Blvd./Kirker Pass Rd. and the City of Clayton will not be served after 3:30pm, in both directions, for the remainder of the day. We will update this notice if anything changes.

Regular weekend service will resume on Saturday, June 6th.

Ruta 10 – Desviación Temporal

Una protesta esta programada el viernes 5 de junio entre las ciudades de Concord y Clayton a lo largo the Clayton Rd. Como resultado, la ruta 10 será desviada por Ayers Rd./Concord Blvd./Kirker Pass Rd. Route 35 Temporary Detour

A protest is planned in the City of San Ramon this afternoon. Service on Route 35 will experience the following interruptions:

  • Trips departing Dublin/Pleasanton BART at 5:08pm and 5:23pm will be cancelled.
  • Trips departing the San Ramon Transit Center between 4pm-5pm may be delayed.
  • No service along the Crow Canyon/Bollinger Canyon Loop starting at 4pm, for the remainder of the day.
  • Stops between Dougherty Rd. and the San Ramon Transit Center will not be accessible starting at 4pm, due to street closures. Route 35 will be detoured along Crow Canyon Rd. and Dougherty Rd. between the San Ramon Transit Center and Dublin/Pleasanton BART, in both directions starting around 4pm. Detour subject to change.

Regular service will resume on Thursday, June 4th.

Express Routes serving Bishop Ranch

Due to street closures around Bishop Ranch, all express routes will be detoured along Crow Canyon Rd. to serve the San Ramon Transit Center. Stops south of the San Ramon Transit Center within Bishop Ranch will not be served. Some delays may occur. We recommend accessing all County Connection express routes at the San Ramon Transit Center.

Regular service will resume on Thursday, June 4th.

Contra Costa County has issued a countywide curfew order starting tonight, Tuesday, June 2, from 8pm to 5am. The order is in effect until rescinded and does not apply to people traveling to and from work. County Connection recognizes many of our passengers are essential workers and may travel outside of our service area for work, therefore may need access to transportation beyond the curfew hours. Our goal is to offer safe and reliable service to passengers traveling to and from work. Current hours of operations are from 5am-9:30pm. Any trips with a start time after 9:30pm will not be operational, until curfew orders are lifted. Please note, service is subject to change based on directives from law enforcement agencies or due to civil unrest. We must prioritize the safety of our drivers and passengers. Please check our website on a regular basis for the most up-to-date information.

Route 10 Temporary Detour

Clayton Valley High will be hosting their graduation on Tuesday, June 2nd and Wednesday, June 3rd from 11am-8pm and a protest is scheduled in Clayton on Tuesday, June 2nd.

On Tuesday, June 2nd, Route 10 will NOT be able to access stops along Clayton Blvd. between Ayers Rd. and the City of Clayton.

On Wednesday, June 3rd, Route 10 will NOT be able to access stops along Clayton Blvd. between Ayers Rd. and Ygnacio Valley Road/Kirker Pass. Service will continue along Clayton Rd. between Ygnacio Valley Road/Kirker Pass and the City of Clayton.

Regular service will resume on Thursday, June 4th Wednesday, June 3rd.

Ruta 10 – Desviación Temporal

Various cities in County Connection’s service area have curfews in place. In an effort to continue to provide a safe and reliable service to many essential workers, County Connection will continue to operate service between the hours of 5am-9:30pm. Any trips with a start time after 9:30pm will not be operational starting today, Monday, June 1st. These hours of operations will remain in effect until curfew orders are lifted in all cities served by County Connection. Due to several street closures and potential protests, County Connection service in and out of Walnut Creek will be interrupted starting at 12pm, today, June 1st. Routes 4 and 5 will not be operational and other routes with service to Walnut Creek BART will experience detours and reduced service. Additionally, routes serving any other BART stations impacted by the protests will be rerouted and service to BART stations temporarily halted.

Various cities in County Connection’s service area have adopted curfews. As a result, County Connection will have reduced hours of operation in order to adhere to these efforts. Please call customer service for the most up-to-date information, at 925-676-7500.

Important message from the City of Walnut Creek:

Many streets in the downtown area will be closed today. There will be limited BART service to Walnut Creek. The downtown area will be patrolled by officers from Walnut Creek and other agencies. Parking will be extremely limited, and any cars parked illegally will be towed. There is a curfew in effect from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. through tomorrow morning, and continues from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. through June 8, 2020.
