County Connection and Amtrak – All Aboard
County Connection has teamed up with Amtrak to accept the Amtrak train transfers for the San Joaquin and Pacific Surfliner trains as full fare payment on the buses. The San Joaquin route travels the Central Valley communities of Stockton, Fresno, and Bakersfield, and the Pacific Surfliner route travels to Santa Barbara.
Train conductors will provide a two-part transfer for passengers upon request. The transfer allows the rider to board buses of any partner agency for free. The transfer slips are valid for two days – the day of issue, and the following day.
County Connection has five weekday bus routes that serve the Martinez Amtrak station: Route 16, Route 18, Route 19, Route 28, and Route 98. For route and schedule information call Customer service at 925-676-7500 or visit www.cccta.org.

Contra Costa Times Has It Wrong
In today’s newspaper (12/23), The Contra Costa Times printed incorrect holiday hours for County Connection bus service over the holidays. Emails and telephone calls are not answered – telephones don’t even go to voicemail – so this error may run again tomorrow (12/24).
Friday, December 24, weekend service – 300 series routes
Saturday, December 25 – no bus service
Friday, December 31 – weekend service – 300 series routes
Saturday, January 1 – no bus service
If you’re a bus rider, please help correct this misprint and remind fellow passengers of the holiday service. Thank you.
