Meet Frank – February Passenger of the Month

March 7, 2011February 28, 2019

Frank Phinney – The Amtrak Champion

County Connection bus passengers who use the Amtrak San Joaquin rail line need to give Frank a thumbs up. Frank recently questioned why County Connection didn’t have a transfer agreement with this San Joaquin line, similar to the one offered to Capital Corridor passengers. The short answer is that we didn’t know that Amtrak had bus transfer agreements beyond that offered on the Capital Corridor.  After just a few phone calls an agreement is in the works. We expect that by September passengers traveling on the San Joaquin line will be able to transfer for free to any County Connection bus.

Frank is a long-time resident of the area and has been an active County Connection passenger for the past several years, mainly using the buses to reach locations between Martinez, Pleasant Hill and Walnut Creek.  He uses the train to travel to Fresno once every week. He enjoys stress free commuting and the helpful drivers and passengers. We appreciate his patronage.

Congratulations Frank.  Keep riding and keep spreading the message.

Congratulations Frank! Your face and name are sure familiar. Is your wife’s name Nan?

Thanks Frank. I live near Amtrak and use it often. I could use a transfer between systems. They also sell ten dollar bart tickets for eight dollars at the snack bar on the capitol corridor. Keep on riding!!!!!! Helen J. Ryan
