Public Hearing – Express Bus Fares

Public Hearing on Express Bus Fare Collection

The Central Contra Costa Transit Authority will be conducting a public hearing to receive comment on collecting an additional $0.25 from monthly pass (east bay value pass), 20 ride commuter card, and 12 ride punch pass holders when riding Express Bus routes.  The current Express bus cash fare is $2.25, $0.25 more than the basic cash fare for local routes.  The public hearing will be held at the Pleasant Hill Cify Office, 100 Gregory Lane-Community Room, between the hours of 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday December 1st, 2010.

Additional information:

The cash fare, use of transfers, and senior fares, will remain the same.  The senior 20 ride punch will still be good on express buses without additional payment.

This is expected to impact commuters and students who use the express buses and currently purchase multi-ride fare media.

The Express buses include the 91X, 92X, 93X, 95X, 96X, 97X, 98X.

The Bishop Ranch passes will still be good and not require an additional $0.25
