Public Hearing Tonight – Introducing Day Pass on Clipper

The Central Contra Costa Transit Authority (County Connection) will hold a public hearing to gather comment on the proposed introduction of a Day Pass Accumulator, available on the Clipper Card expected to be ready for use on County Connection buses in the Fall of 2015. Clipper Card is the regional transit fare payment system. The new fare instrument will place a maximum fare payment of $3.75 per day for adults and youths, and $1.75 for seniors and disabled passengers, when using the Clipper Card for payment of cash fares on County Connection buses. In short, passengers may make unlimited local bus trips for $3.75 or $1.75 a day depending on the fare category. Comments may be submitted in writing, via email, or at the scheduled public hearing. In the month of May, County Connection riders reduced CO2 emissions by 30,867 pounds EACH WEEKDAY. Were you one of them?
