Onboard Policies – County Connection

Onboard Policies

Help make the ride pleasant for all.

TAKE A STAND.
Move for seniors and people with disabilities. In the priority seating area by the door, you are required to move for seniors and people with disabilities. (It’s okay to use this area as long as it is not occupied or needed.)

KEEP YOUR COOL.
Don’t threaten or intimidate riders or operators. It’s unlawful to threaten the safety of a rider or operator, or interfere with the movement of a bus.

DO NOT DISTURB.
Don’t be so loud that you disturb others. Use headphones if listening to music. Everyone deserves a comfortable ride. Excessive noise is not allowed.

MAKE WAY.
Don’t block the aisles or doors. If you have a bag or other large item, make sure it’s not blocking the aisle or doorway. Strollers must be folded after boarding. If you’re standing, move back so others can board.

PET BOARDING?
If you bring a pet, keep it in a carrier. Unless it’s a service animal, your pet must be kept in a carrier.

LUNCHTIME?
Keep food and drinks in closed containers. Eating is not allowed on County Connection vehicles, but you can bring food and drinks on board in closed containers.

NO SMOKING.
Smoking is prohibited on buses, and where posted at bus shelters and transit centers. If you smoke, be considerate of your fellow riders by moving away from the shelter or station.

END OF THE LINE.
During your trip, be sure to listen for your stop to be announced. As the bus approaches your stop, push the buzzer bar or pull the cord to alert the bus operator that you wish to disembark. Please remain in your seat/seating area until the bus has come to a complete stop.
