Rt. 7 – The Shadelands Shuttle Is Getting A New Look

DSCN1141-REarlier this year the property owners in the Shadelands Business Park began paying fares for everyone riding the Route 7 buses – AKA – the “Shadelands Shuttle”. In the six months since the free fare program began, the buses are getting a new look and identity.

Route 7 runs between the Pleasant Hill BART station and the Shadelands Business Park by way of Treat Blvd. and Oak Grove Rd. The service runs every 15 minutes Monday – Friday between approximately 6:30 – 10:00 AM, and 3:00 – 7:30 PM. To view the schedule and route map, click here.

  • I was investigating how to get to Buena Vista & Second Avenues in Walnut Creek. First, I looked at the schedule for Bus 7 (remembering it used to serve my destination) and its map of the route still shows a travel route through my destination; no stops or times were listed, nonetheless I thought there must be service. Fortunately, I looked in News and found this as I checked holiday service.
    Seriously, that ROUTE MAP attached to the schedule NEEDS TO BE UPDATED.

  • Awful!!! Half of the time is not on time! Some of the drivers don’t even know the route, which keep changing. The app shows a bus is coming, which never appears and the time keep changing. When you call customer service they are rude and don’t know what’s going on!

    • Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll be using this 7 line for work very soon. Is it any better these days or still pretty bad as before?

      • I don’t know when you originally used it…the schedule was revised a couple years ago to run every 15 min. (meeting BART) during AM and PM commute hours.     • If you’re asking about the BART parking lot – yes, quite early. If you’re asking about the Park ‘n Ride on Mitchell Drive, not to full capacity. Hope this helps.
