Monday, January 19, 2026 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We honor Dr. King’s enduring legacy of equality, justice, and service to community. County Connection will operate regular bus service today as we help keep our community connected. 🚌

County Connection will have two closures during the upcoming holidays in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The closure dates are as follows:

• December 25 – Closed, no bus service. (Regular service resumes Friday, December 26, 2025)
• January 1 – Closed, no bus service. (Regular service resumes Friday, January 2, 2026)  

Paratransit services will be limited to BART ADA services. For more information on paratransit during the holiday closures, call 925-938-7433.

There will be no service on Thursday, November 27 in celebration of Thanksgiving. Regular service on Friday, November 28. Paratransit services will be limited to BART ADA services. For more information on paratransit during the holiday closures, call 925-938-7433.

Due to night construction on Monument Blvd, these stops will be closed affecting the last trip in both directions. Construction is expected through 11/17/2025 from 9pm-5am.

The Pass2Class program through 511 Contra Costa will end on September 30, 2025. Starting October 1, 2025, students in central Contra Costa County who were using the free passes, will need to pay to board County Connection buses.

As the Pass2Class program wraps up, students are encouraged to continue riding transit with a Youth Clipper card, which offers 50% off all Bay Area transit fares.

Detour for Alhambra High Homecoming Parade today, 9/19/25 from 2-4pm. All stops on Alhambra/Berrellesa between Escobar and Highway 4 will be missed in both directions.

Route 15 detour 9/18/25 & 9/19/25 from 9am-3:30p due to construction at intersection Salvio/Port Chicago. Stops closed:

#765 Parkside/Concord Civic Center

#783 Salvio/Date

#626 East/Willow Pass

Closest open stops:

#874 Willow Pass/Esperanzo

#627 East/Sunset

UPDATE 11:45am: Regular BART service has resumed throughout the system. All stations are now open. Expect major residual delays systemwide. County Connection’s mutual aid (free bus service) to/from BART stations has concluded.

UPDATE 9:38am: Limited East Bay service will start at approximately 9:30am. There is no service to San Francisco and no West Bay service. Yellow Line will service will resume from Antioch to 12th Street Oakland. Blue Line service will resume from Dublin to MacArthur. Orange line service will resume from Berryessa to Richmond. BART to Antioch service is starting now.

Due to a computer equipment problem following network upgrade work, BART is unable to provide service this morning. As part of the regional Mutual Aid effort, County Connection will be providing free bus service for passengers boarding from the following BART stations while BART remains out of service:

• North Concord
• Concord
• Pleasant Hill
• Walnut Creek
• Dublin
• Lafayette
• Orinda

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available. Riders are advised to seek alternative means of transportation. BART has posted additional travel options here: bart.gov/alternatives.
