Property owners in the Alamo Creek, Monterosso, and Ponderosa Colony subdivisions pay a traffic mitigation fee through their property taxes to fund transit service. The fee was established by the County as a condition of development. On Monday, January 27th County Connection kicked off a demonstration service – called the Alamo Creek Shuttle – which runs between the three developments and the Walnut Creek BART station. The service is fully funded by the fees collected by the property owners.
The advance reservation service will operate Monday through Friday during commute periods, making three AM and three PM trips. Shuttles will stop at the Danville Park ‘n Ride on request, and may stop within a corridor along Camino Tassajara and I-680 if time permits.
Riding the Alamo Creek Shuttle just got easier.
Now you can book a ride from the County Connection Alamo Creek Shuttle through your smartphone or via a computer (call-in reservations will still be available). The enhanced on-demand transit service will allow riders to request a ride Monday through Friday through Transloc’s Microtransit app by selecting pickup and drop-off locations between Alamo Creek and Walnut Creek BART. This is a 6-month pilot project.
Riders can request rides anytime up to 15 minutes of the shuttles scheduled departure time with final drop-off in Alamo Creek at 6:30 p.m. Download the Microtransit app in the Apple Store or on Google Play. You can also book a trip from your desktop. If you don’t have an internet connection, just call County Connection at (925) 943-1829 to request the service.

What are the benefits of the new Microtransit app?
The Microtransit app offers greater flexibility on our Alamo Creek Shuttle. Instead of being held to a fixed route at fixed, riders will be able to request rides as needed within the scheduled time blocks. This creates streamlined routing and scheduling, allowing County Connection to provide a greater level of service to the riders of Alamo Creek. Riders will also receive arrival notifications as well as estimated drop of times, which can help people plan their days better.
How can I book a ride?
Riders may request a ride on the Microtransit app, Monday through Friday up to 1 week in advance and up to 15 minutes of the shuttles scheduled departure time. Pick up and drop offs are only offered within the eligible Alamo Creek Shuttle service blocks. You can also book a trip from your desktop at ondemand.transloc.com. If you don’t have an internet connection, you can still call (925) 943-1829 or riders can also walk up to the vehicle during the AM or PM service if no ride has been booked. At this time, all same day reservations scheduled via your mobile device have to be within a 3 mile radius of either Alamo Creek, Walnut Creek BART or the Danville Park & Ride.
What is the average wait time?
15-30 minutes. Keep in mind this is a pilot so we may see that average time increase or decrease based on usage. We will continue to provide updates and we encourage you to provide feedback during this pilot period. We can be reached via customer service at (925) 676-7500 or via email at email@example.com.
