About the Advisory Committee
The primary purpose of the Advisory Committee is to review, analyze, and advise the County Connection Board of Directors on issues and policies relating to fixed-route and paratransit service. Committee members also act as a citizen liaison from represented jurisdictions from the County Connection area. Recent topics the committee has weighed in on include the County Connection marketing plan, proposed changes to Youth Clipper fares, and the Clipper BayPass.

Who’s a good fit as an Advisory Committee member?
Many of our current and former members have shown an interest in:
✔ Public service
✔ Social activism
✔ Local politics and civic engagement
✔ Public transit (of course!)
However, everyone is welcome to apply to join the Advisory Committee and share their perspective on County Connection planning and policies.
What to expect at Advisory Committee Meetings
The County Connection Advisory Committee now meets every month (12 times per year) on the first Thursday of the month at 1:30pm at the County Connection headquarter office located at 2477 Arnold Industrial Way in Concord. Members will gather in the County Connection Boardroom and be officially recognized by the appointed Chair of the committee. When the meeting begins, members will listen and respond to items from the agenda, often presented by County Connection staff. Following each presented item (typically 1-3 per meeting), committee members may ask questions and provide feedback. Meetings are approximately 60-90 minutes. See 2025 meeting schedule below:
