Bus Tracker-Update

bt-icon-png8:00 AM – Bus Tracker back up and running.

We’re experiencing technical problems with Bus Tracker. The information you receive is scheduled arrival time – not real time. Buses are not visible in Map mode. This is affecting the transit app as well. We’re working on this now and hope to have this resolved quickly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

CO2 Reductions in December

1 day signIn December County Connection bus riders reduced CO2 emissions by 25,369 pounds EACH WEEKDAY. That’s really impressive!

Using County Connection’s average trip length (one way) of 5 miles, each person who leaves their car at home and uses the bus will reduce CO2 emissions by 4.35 pounds. So, by riding just one day a week you can make a difference.

Real time options such as the on-line trip planner, Bus Tracker  the free transit app, Clipper, and free Wi-Fi on all buses make using the bus more convenient and predictable. Check out these amenities today!

UPDATE:Sink Hole in Orinda

UPDATE:  Using small buses to get to Miner Rd. in Orinda using Camino Sobrante. We’ll miss the stops at Camino Pablo/Miner Rd., Miner Rd./Camino Lenada, and Miner Rd./Camino Don Miguel.

Here’s the detour map.

route-606-detour

A sink hole on Miner Rd.  near Camino Pablo in Orinda means a lengthy alternate route for the 606 buses that serve Miramonte and OIS. From Orinda BART the buses are going on Hwy 24 to St. Stephens Dr. and accessing Miner Rd from the back end. Supervisors are on site to help the buses turn around. This will probably continue for at least a few days. Check it out here http://www.ktvu.com/news/ktvu-local-news/228544437-story

Stay tuned for detour updates.
