The CCCTA Board of Directors consists of eleven members from ten cities and the unincorporated area of Central Contra Costa County. Each Director is appointed to a two-year term of office by the governing body of the member jurisdiction which he/she represents. A Director may be an elected or other public official or a private person. The Board is responsible for all of the policy and financial decisions of the Authority. Each Board member (except chairperson) also sits on a CCCTA subcommittee: Marketing, Planning, and Legislative; Administration and Finance; Operations and Scheduling.

The Marketing, Planning and Legislative Committee oversees the development and implementation of marketing programs which stimulate public awareness, involvement, and use of CCCTA transportation services; identifies immediate and long-range transit needs of the agency’s service area; and monitors the transportation planning process.

The Operations and Scheduling Committee oversees the transportation, maintenance and facilities functions of the agency so as to ensure the operation of an efficient and effective transportation system.

The Administration & Finance Committee oversees the administrative, financial and budgetary aspects of the agency, as well as institutes the appropriate methods and procedures to ensure fiscal accountability.

The primary purpose of the Advisory Committee is to review, analyze, and advise the County Connection Board of Directors on issues and policies relating to fixed-route and paratransit service. Committee members also act as a citizen liaison from the represented jurisdiction.

The County Connection Advisory Committee meets bi-monthly on the second Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the County Connection headquarter office in Concord in the Board of Directors meeting room.

We have openings for representatives from the cities of Clayton, Danville, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Orinda and San Ramon.
