Here’s what we’re doing to ensure the safety and cleanliness of our vehicles for customers and staff:
- All passengers and drivers are required to wear masks. Riders will not be transported without a face mask or a medical exemption to the requirement. If you do not have a face mask, your operator will gladly provide you with one.
- Drivers have been educated on additional hygiene precautions which include washing hands frequently, avoiding touching their face, using alcohol based sanitizer, and staying home when sick.
- Both Fixed route buses and Paratransit buses are being fogged or sprayed every night with disinfectant to disinfect frequently touched spaces.
- Riders are encouraged to stay home if sick, wash hands with soap and water frequently, avoid touching their faces, avoid non-essential trips to minimize risk of exposure.
- LINK is a non-emergency transportation service and cannot provide emergency trips to the hospital or medical facility in the event of an emergency. For such trips please call medical personnel, by dialing 911.
- The County Connection LINK Paratransit office is closed to the public starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice. Read More >>
County Connection Mask Requirement
On Friday, January 29th, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued an Order imposing a mask requirement applicable to public transportation systems, rail, and van, bus and motorcoach service providers to mitigate the risk of COVID-19. The CDC Order implements President Biden’s Executive Order 13998, Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel, “to save lives and allow all Americans, including the millions of people employed in the transportation industry, to travel and work safely.”
Science-based measures are critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19. Mask-wearing is one of several proven life-saving measures including physical distancing, appropriate ventilation and timely testing that can reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Requiring masks will protect America’s transportation workers and passengers, help control the transmission of COVID-19, and aid in re-opening America’s economy.
County Connection LINK takes your continued health very seriously. As a result, all passengers and drivers are required to wear masks.
If you are unable to wear a mask and require an exception, please call the reservation department at (925) 938-7433 before you travel to receive instructions on how to receive an exemption from this mandate.
